Commercial Day Porter – Denver, CO

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, conscientious Part Time Exterior Day Porter to join our team. This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of commercial properties in Denver and surrounding area, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Perform trash removal of sidewalks, plant areas, and parking lot
• Sidewalk sweeping, window frame cleaning, emptying trash and ashtray containers
• Check for and remove trash and leaves from property
• Cone off parking spaces as requested
• Assess and report any illegal dumping or unauthorized items on property
• Assist commercial maintenance technicians as needed: carrying ladders, moving furniture, some minor maintenance and/or cleaning of vacant units, or removing trash from inside a building
• Other tasks may be assigned as necessary

Qualifications:

• Reliable and hardworking
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• 1 year experience in janitorial or grounds keeping
• Reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance, valid driver license, and clean driving record
• Physical Demands: Heavy: up to 50lbs., anything over 50lbs requires two (2) people – Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, talk, hear and see
• Some knowledge of exterior maintenance preferred

Administrative Duties:

• Submit time sheets electronically
• Prepare and submit mileage reports
• Complete work orders and attach pictures using iPad provided
• Familiarity with cell phone and iOS applications

$20 / hour depending on experience
