Colorado Springs, CO – Nor’wood Development Group and Griffis/Blessing, Inc. announce the groundbreaking of Mesa Ridge Apartments in Fountain, CO. The first new apartment community in Fountain since 2004, Mesa Ridge will help fill the need for new housing in the Security, Widefield, and Fountain areas, as well as for Fort Carson.
The property is currently under construction and is expected to be completed late summer 2012. When finished, it will consist of 240 total units spread through 11 different buildings: 84 one-bedroom, 132 two-bedroom, and 24 three-bedroom units.
The 3,750 square foot clubhouse will include a social room with big screen TVs, a stone fireplace, and Wi-Fi; a gaming and theater room with video game consoles and an HD projector; a business center with computer and iPad stations; a fitness center with state of the art equipment and an activity room for children; and an outdoor area that includes a full-size pool, wading pool, Jacuzzi, grills, covered porches, and three large gathering areas.
Nor’wood Vice President Fred Veitch will head the development efforts for the property, and Pat Stanforth, CPM®, Senior Vice President of the Griffis/Blessing Multifamily Property Services Group, will be in charge of the management. This project highlights the growing partnership between Nor’wood and Griffis/Blessing, as well as the growing need for new housing in the Fort Carson area:
“The market opportunity in Fountain is very exciting to us,” says Mr. Veitch, “especially working with such a strong local partner as Griffis/Blessing. Mesa Ridge is a great opportunity to showcase the growth of the Fountain community.”
“Working with Nor’wood and the City of Fountain has been wonderful,” says Ms. Stanforth. “We are thrilled to help bring this apartment community to the people of Fountain and Fort Carson, and we look forward to continuing these partnerships into the future.”
