Colorado Springs, CO – Weidner Apartment Homes, Griffis/Blessing, Inc. and Seagate Colorado Partners in conjunction with the Apartment Association of Southern Colorado (AASC), partnered together to aid individuals and families who were displaced by the Black Forest Fire. A donation was made to El Paso County benefiting the Disaster Assistance Center in order to show support for the community. All contributions will go directly to those affected by the fire.
El Paso County Commissioner D1, Darryl Glenn, received the donations August 7, 2013. Glenn said “The funds will be beneficial and help us continue to provide aid for those impacted by the Black Forest Fire as they work to move forward with their lives. The support of these generous organizations for their community lets people know that we have not forgotten about them.”
“Having been raised in Colorado Springs, I am acutely aware of the amount of destruction that recent fires have had on the community – particularly the Black Forest Fire earlier this year” says Dean Weidner, President and Founder of Weidner Apartment Homes. “On behalf of the 1,000 plus associates in the Weidner family, we are grateful to work with our fellow Property Management partners to assist the residents of the Springs as they work towards rebuilding their lives”.

“We at Seagate Colorado Partners feel for the fire victims in the face of such a difficult time,” states Mark Polite of Seagate Colorado Partners. “We wanted to reach out and support them in their recovery efforts as they continue to restore their community.”
AASC members who have contributed to the donation include Weidner Apartment Homes, Griffis/Blessing, Inc, Seagate Colorado Partners (Sunset Creek Apartments, Copper Chase Apartments, The Village at Lionstone Apartments, Cascade Park Apartments, Boulder Crescent Apartments), Reconstruction Experts, Rocky Mountain Fire Specialists, Alliance Property Management, Grand West Properties, Mountain Crest Properties, Mesa Ridge Apartments, Klass Law Group, HD Supply, Rock Solid Roofing, Viper Towing & Recovery, LLC and Top Notch Carpet and Tile Care. Donations varied from $50 to $5,000 with the final donation totaling $17,150.
