David C. Bunkers – CFO & SVP, Financial Services

With Griffis/Blessing, Dave is responsible for all aspects of financial tracking and reporting for the firm’s corporate activities, affiliate companies, and over 100 properties located throughout Colorado. Dave has wide-ranging knowledge of accounting and brings over 30 years of diversified business experience to Griffis/Blessing. His managerial responsibilities include accounting, information technology, human resources and risk management.

Prior to joining Griffis/Blessing in 2006, Dave served as Business Director for Pikes Peak Mental Health, a Colorado Springs based behavioral health non-profit organization. He also spent 15 years in high-tech manufacturing in various management positions. He began his professional career with a Big 4 public accounting firm.

He obtained a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska with an emphasis in accounting and finance and earned his MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Dave is a licensed CPA in the state of Colorado. He is a member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of CPAs.

Along with his leadership role at Griffis/Blessing, Dave serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Silver Key Senior Services. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Downtown Business Improvement District of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak chapter of the American Red Cross. He is a  graduate of Leadership Pikes Peak and the Center for Creative Leadership’s Community Leadership Program.
